Moniquewilsonn is a Baltimore-based R&B singer and songwriter whose sound blends soulful vulnerability with rich musicality. With a foundation rooted in both contemporary R&B and classical training, she brings depth, intention, and authenticity to every performance.

Monique earned her Bachelor’s degree from Temple University with a major in Jazz Vocal Performance, and minoring in Music Business in May 2025, and also attended University of the Arts. Prior to that, she studied classical music at Community College of Baltimore County Essex, where she refined her vocal technique and musicianship. Her diverse educational background has played a major role in shaping her dynamic vocal style and artistic versatility.

At 18, Monique made the decision to pursue music seriously as a career. In 2020, she released her debut single, “Too,” marking her official introduction as a recording artist. She continued building her catalog with the release of her EP “Understand Me” in 2022, showcasing her growth as both a songwriter and vocalist. Monique Wilson continues to build momentum in her music career with a growing catalog of original releases. In 2023, she released the single X-Mas Day,” followed by “Pressure” in 2024. In 2025, she delivered another single titled “Right Now,” leading into her debut album “Note To Self”, which was released in 2025. Her evolving sound and consistent releases showcase her artistic growth and dedication to her craft. Her music reflects themes of self-discovery, love, emotional honesty, and empowerment.

Beyond performing and recording, Monique has been actively involved in the music community. She served as a representative for GrammyU, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to the industry. She has also participated in numerous musical initiatives and collaborative projects, further expanding her artistic reach. Through GRAMMY U, she has received mentorship from acclaimed artists and industry professionals including Laurin Talese, Fitch Means, and Christopher Michael Stevens. Her current mentor is now Kimpedro Rtotheriguez

Adding on, she also participated in a mentorship with Briclyn Entertainment, where she was offered the opportunity to serve as a talent escort for the 50th Hip Hop Anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she gained hands-on industry experience as an A&R intern with Mezz Entertainment.

Beyond her independent releases and mentorships, Monique is a grant recipient of Illuminate the Arts and a participant in the Jazz Philadelphia program, further affirming her presence within the jazz and broader music community. She also had the honor of singing alongside Dr. J. Donald Dumpson for “A Soulful Christmas,” a special event honoring gospel recording artist Ricky Dillard. These opportunities reflect both her commitment to artistic excellence and her continued growth as a dynamic and emerging vocalist.

After moving to Philadelphia in 2024, Monique began performing throughout the city, steadily building her presence in the local music scene. During this time, she became a member of the band Harvest Groove and later founded her own 5-piece band, Silk N’ Honey, continuing to establish herself as both a solo artist and bandleader.
